The Health Benefits of Flaxseeds

The World’s Healthiest Foods discusses, on its website, the positive health benefits of Flaxseeds. Originally from regions near the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East, flaxseeds hold significant health-promoting properties. These include polyphenols and Omega-3 fatty acids.

Flaxseeds are highly nutritious

Flaxseeds are rich in antioxidants and polyphenols. Antioxidants help prevent heart disease, and can aid in lowering insulin resistance as well.
